Nomination Deadline: September 5, 2008 Celebrating Five Years of Rewarding Innovation and Recognizing Individuals who are Improving the Health of Children and Youth Nominate Someone Today!
Every day, individuals enrich the lives of children and young people in Wake County. These individuals often break new ground to address the health care needs of our children. The John Rex Endowment Hands of Health Award was established to honor individuals in recognition of their innovative contributions toward improving the health of local children and youth. We invite you to nominate someone you believe has introduced creative ideas, developed bold new initiatives or taken a fresh approach to address an existing need. Think about people who make things happen - people who aren't afraid to try something different or tackle a challenge. Whether their work touches one life at a time or impacts the entire community, we want to hear their stories. We want to know who they are, what they're doing and how they're enhancing the lives of children living in Wake County. Nomination GuidelinesThe John Rex Endowment invites nominations of individuals who meet the following criteria:
Award DetailsIn honor of the Hands of Health Award winner, the John Rex Endowment will make a $10,000 contribution to a charitable organization selected by the award winner and approved by the Endowment. Funds may be divided between no more than two qualifying organizations and must benefit underserved children in Wake County. The Hands of Health Award winner will be selected by a committee of the Board of Directors of the John Rex Endowment. The award will be presented at the John Rex Endowment Hands of Health breakfast, an invitation-only event, on October 21, 2008.
