Purpose: Assess current PYD practices, plan purposefully and strategically to more comprehensively integrate PYD tenets, and implement a staff-level change of more intentional PYD-based programming based on best practices.
How:
1. Assessment of current programs including level of integrated PYD strategies.
2. Plan and implement additional strategies/activities to increase level of PYD integration
3. Conduct PYD trainings/workshops for staff and board.
4. Implement cycle of evaluation, reflection, and refined implementation (e.g., identifying additional training needs).
Outcome:
1. Report of the assessment by program to be used for strategic planning.
2. Update of current strategic plan to incorporate enhanced PYD focus.
3. Formal planning tools for YIB and youth-led groups.
4. All policies and procedures documentation changed to reflect system-wide PYD approach.
5. Regular reports of program evaluations, with changes made based on assessment.
Cost/Term: $301,505 over two years.
